Hotel Bumi Senyiur

The rooms are large, and the staff are friendly. It’s right in the center, and the breakfast buffet is amazing. Excellent hotel.

We’ve always had a pleasant stay here, and Bumi Senyiur has become my family’s usual hotel in Samarinda. It’s a 4-star place with a classic interior. The rooms are spacious, though a little old, and the service has always been good. Its location is quite strategic, and parking has never been a hassle. Mercure and Ibis are nearby and popular too, but parking there has always been a problem. I haven’t tried the pool or the other amenities.

We spent three nights here as a European couple travelling around Kalimantan. The pool and gym are good, and breakfast was amazing. The rooms were nice and clean, and the service was excellent. Best hotel in Samarinda.

We stayed one night with family. The pool was fine, though its floor is slippery and there’s no gravel area to walk on. They also had live music from a small band at night, which was nice to relax to. Our room was clean and fairly spacious, with a table and chair that worked as a desk. The AC was okay, the bathroom was large and had enough amenities, and the Wi-Fi worked well. The downside was the old LCD TV and limited channel selection. The breakfast area has large tables for five or six, so couples and small families often have to wait for a table to open up. There’s a smoking area outside the restaurant.
