Hyatt Regency Bali Hotel

The staff are what I’ll remember most about the Hyatt Regency in Sanur. Their kindness made me feel like family, and I looked forward to seeing them each day. At reception, Ode, Giri, and Gede were a pleasure to get to know. At breakfast, Yoga, Dwipa, Wayan Perdi, Tia, Ika, Deko, Yoshi, and Tania were so hardworking and kind. By the pool and beach, Buda, Ardi, and Irwan were always lovely to talk with and diligent at their jobs. Anggi at the Pizzaria was especially gentle, caring, and attentive. The place itself has a lot going for it too: a comfortable room, a great location, and quality dining. The food was wonderful, the ocean was beautiful, and the breeze and rustling coconut fronds made the surroundings feel so soothing. Those sounds and sights will stay with me, but the staff’s warmth means even more to me.

We’d never stayed here before, and after seven nights we really weren’t ready to leave. The team made us feel welcome from arrival through checkout, and people always acknowledged us around the property. The club was a standout for us, one of the best we’ve visited. Its evening small plates were all good, with different selections over the three days. Breakfast in the club seemed more flavorful, though it had fewer options than the fairly standard main breakfast. The grounds are huge and beautifully cared for, and the adult-only pool felt secluded, with no rooms looking over it. A lot of credit to the gardening team, who seem to get little recognition. We used WOH points with a SUA as a Globalist and felt they were well spent. The balcony furniture was cramped and made it hard to move around or enjoy the space. We’d like to recognize Damara at bell service, Swandewi at the front desk, Yoga, Serly, Adam, Dea, Pande, Bande, Sudarita, and Gede in the club, and Suciana at the pool. The whole team was top shelf. We’ll stay here again on a future Bali trip.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Hyatt Regency Bali. The staff were consistently polite and helpful, and the rooms were well equipped and maintained. The property is attractive and kept in great shape, with several pools and plenty of loungers along the beachfront. It’s a huge site, but there’s a map to help you find your way, and it never felt crowded. I also found the gym well equipped and quiet. We chose the Regency Club and would recommend it. Breakfast there was much less busy than the main restaurant, and the complimentary evening drinks and food were handy on nights when we didn’t want a full restaurant meal.

The grounds are lovely, and breakfast had a huge range of choices and was pretty good. The restaurant food was just OK for me, though. Nothing I tried felt five-star. We paid to use a bike so we could explore along the foreshore, including bali icon. The bike was OK too. Just check the full price when booking, since taxes get added. I hadn’t realized that and was a bit surprised when I arrived.
