Staying here gave us a memorable look at Sawahlunto through the experience of locals who have lived here for years. The hosts were far more welcoming than we expected, and the location is hard to beat, right in the center and close to Mbah Soero Mining Museum, Goedang Ransum, and Bukit Asam Building. The room was comfortable, though a little cramped for two people sharing the twin room. The bathroom was small and had no hot water. Roosters near our room kept crowing in the morning. It sounds silly, but when you're hoping to sleep in, they get really annoying 🤣🤣.
