Villa Manuk

The natural pool was magnificent and very well cared for. Set among rice fields, trees, and mountains, this is a beautiful Balinese hotel. The staff were welcoming and friendly, although only the manager speaks fluent English. The king-size beds were superb and very comfortable. There's no air conditioning in the rooms, and the nice shower rooms are outdoors, along with the toilets.

We had a relaxing, pleasant stay in a quiet location, and would happily return to Villa Manuk. Our group of four had two very clean rooms, each with its own bathroom and balcony, looking out over beautiful mountains and rice fields. The villa's outdoor area was lovely too, with a natural pool. The staff were friendly and helpful, and we felt at home right away. The food came fresh from a partner restaurant and was delicious. Breakfast was very good, with fresh fruit every day, and there were little snacks in the afternoon.

The villa has a beautiful view, and the staff are friendly and attentive in a personal way that never feels intrusive. Most of the food is sourced locally and cooked well, better than what I've found at most other restaurants. I hope to come back someday!

It feels like old Bali here, quiet, authentic, and beautifully kept. Sekumpul Waterfalls is only ten minutes away, and they can arrange a trip there. With just four rooms, it has the feel of a private villa, complete with a cook serving delicious Balinese food and a masseuse. The pool is fed by spring water, and the rice fields and mountains make a lovely view.
