Bintang Bali Resort

Breakfast had plenty of choice and the service was good, and we thought the stay was great value. It was an easy place to stop after a long flight, close to the airport. We had a lovely time with the whole family, including our 2-year-old. Everyone was so helpful and professional, from Rai on WhatsApp to the resort team and room service. They clearly take pride in their work, and we felt very well looked after. The resort is beautiful, and we spent some of our best moments in the huge pool. There was debris on the beach after a storm, so it didn’t look appealing at first, but we still had a great swim. It’s about a 15-minute walk along the beachfront to Kuta main beach, where we swam too. We’ll definitely come back as soon as we can.

The only real issue for us was that we couldn’t get to the beach because pipeline construction was underway during our stay. The pool area has a luxurious feel and lovely views, and the property felt very safe. Staff were welcoming, professional, and attentive the whole time. Breakfast was fine, with a reasonable range of options.

We ended up spending 23 days here after coming back from Ubud. We’d first booked a week at Bintang Bali Resort because it was near the airport and cost around 60 euros a night for two, breakfast included. It was our first Bali trip, in February 2026, and we’d read that the island has lots of different areas, so choosing the right one mattered to us. The setting is green and pleasant to walk around. Although the hotel has about 400 rooms, the pool and breakfast areas didn’t feel crowded in low season. Our room was roomy, clean, fresh-smelling, and cleaned daily, with the sheets and towels changed. When the sink blocked, someone from maintenance arrived within five minutes of us telling reception. The staff were kind and helpful. We arrived at midnight, and reception was open. It took around 10 minutes by taxi from the airport, and the team greeted us warmly and helped with our bags. From the hotel you can head toward the beachfront path or toward town. Coco Supermarket is nearby for fruit, snacks, drinks, and alcohol, and there are restaurants serving Indian, Vietnamese, Chinese, and European food. Discovery Shopping Mall is about a 10-minute walk away; Beachwalk Shopping Center is around 20 minutes. Both have international brands and outlet-style stores. There’s an on-site restaurant with quiet, relaxing live music in the evenings, and room service too. Prices there are a little above average, and the food was okay, though we found tastier places nearby. For an Asian breakfast, it’s good, and there should be something you like. We also liked Dolce Gelato, about 15 minutes away on foot, for its delicious ice cream. February is still rainy season. One morning the hotel grounds flooded, though much of Kuta was affected. The staff dealt with it professionally, and it didn’t cause us serious discomfort. Humidity is high, so we’d leave the air conditioner running while out to help keep the room dry. Getting around by taxi was easy. We paid 50,000 IDR to Jimbaran beach and the fish market, and 70,000 IDR to Sanur beach, which was cleaner and more comfortable for swimming than Kuta. We also rented a motorbike through hotel staff for 100,000 IDR a day, with no problems. There’s direct access to the beach, and you can swim there, but in rainy season it can be dirty and have rubbish. Kuta itself is busy and very tourist-oriented. Street sellers regularly offer goods and services, and sometimes people ask for money or approach tourists with inappropriate offers, which can feel uncomfortable. We didn’t encounter as much of that when walking in other parts of the island, so it seemed more specific to Kuta.

Breakfast was a highlight, with fresh food and a wide mix of cuisines. Angga, our room attendant, made the room spotless and lovely to relax in, and we looked forward to seeing his towel designs each day. We’ve stayed here three times now, and I doubt it’ll be long before visit number four. The location, amenities, staff, and relaxed atmosphere all get five stars from me.
