Alden Beach House

The staff were lovely and helpful, and the location worked really well for us. We could walk to several restaurants, including Ocean View in about 10 minutes, and with a scooter Bluefin, the restaurant on the water, is well worth going to. Wi-Fi was good too, apart from one brief problem they fixed quickly. The room was spacious and clean, with a handy little terrace, and the pool looks beautiful over the sea. It wasn’t especially clean, though, and with only three rooms the place was otherwise quiet and never crowded. Nights could get noisy if the neighboring room was, let’s say, feeling energetic, haha. Breakfast tasted good but had little variety. We asked for toast three times and were told they had none. They said they couldn’t find any after we suggested buying some, although we found plenty at the nearby Alfamart and Indomaret. The bathroom was the main problem. The toilet was small, clean, and worked fine, but the sink smelled awful all the time. We avoided using it, and the odor sometimes reached the room even with the door shut. Turning on the AC helped clear it a bit.
