The bedsheets were dirty, and so was everything else. There was no WiFi, the AC didn’t work, and nobody on staff spoke English. When we arrived, a kid who didn’t know anything was there. We were shown three rooms and found lots of hair everywhere in all of them. We paid through Booking but didn’t stay, and had to look for another hotel that night. The most horrible place we’ve stayed in Indonesia.

It’s quiet and close to the beach, so the location is great if that’s what you’re after. The rooms, service, and staff were great, and it’s better now than it used to be. There isn’t much within walking distance, though, so you’ll need a bike or car to reach other areas. I recommend staying here.

The room had working AC, and the beach was about a seven minute walk away. Beyond that, though, we weren’t happy with it. There were no towels, mirror, or bathroom mat, and the bathroom light was broken, so we had to pee in total darkness. My husband was horrified to find the bin hadn’t been emptied. I’m also not sure the sheets and pillowcases had been changed. I stayed here with my husband on August 3, 2024, so I’m not making this up. We left the criticism hoping it would help them improve. This place has a lot of potential, and I hope they work on cleanliness and basic amenities. Best of luck.

We stayed three days during GP Mandalika last October. Selong Belanak Beach was a perfect location for us, though Kuta Beach is a 30 minute ride away. The room was okay, but we had occasional electricity problems and the bathroom layout was strange. Breakfast was poor: soggy toast, jam that was too sweet, and a salty omelette. Management really needs to improve the building specs, staff knowledge, and standard of service.

The room was peaceful and quiet, without scooter noise, despite being close to the beach. Breakfast was delicious, and the staff were friendly and nice. The hot shower, AC, and WiFi all worked.
