I got to Semarang at 1 a.m. after a 12-hour trip for work, and stayed here my first night. Check-in is available around the clock, but you need to book through the app first. There weren’t many staff around, though they were kind and carried my suitcase up to the third floor. The bathroom up there had limited water. I liked the bedding and central location, and the AC was cold. It was still okay overall.

I paid just Rp 66.000,- after a promotion on the Reddoorz App. It’s a hostel with shared rooms and bathrooms, but the rooms are nice. The first floor has reception and a mini cafe, while guests use the second and third floors. Each of those floors has about 3-5 bathrooms and around 10 or more beds, though I can’t remember exactly. It’s in central Semarang, close to street food markets and landmarks such as Lawang Sewu and Simpang Lima.

I arrived in Semarang around midnight and stayed here first. The price was very low, but the cleanliness was really poor.
