The location is the strong point. Kota Lama, with its colonial era buildings, is only a few minutes away, and Semarang Tawang station is about a 15 minute drive. Our sixth floor room was okay, though it had a slight smell whenever we came in. The corridors looked worn, especially the carpet, and the Wi-Fi was slow enough that I didn’t use it until we left Semarang. Staff were friendly and helpful, and the service was good. It’s good value for its location, but the hotel needs an upgrade.

The breakfast had limited variety, no coffee machine, and low quality coffee. At the egg station, it took 10 minutes to get an omelet, with only one cook serving guests. Between 7:00 and 9:00, just 12 guests were served, compared with around a hundred guests eating breakfast. The hotel itself is old and the facilities are dated. On the fifth floor, the room toilet wouldn’t flush properly. The RFID key also got stuck and stopped working, and it took about 15 minutes for a technician to come open it.

It’s in Kota Lama, a tourist destination, and fairly close to Tawang station. The price is affordable for the facilities and hospitality you get.

The room’s spaciousness is a real plus, and the location is convenient. The room was good value for the price, although cleanliness, especially in the bathroom, could use some work.

It’s a comfortable, nice room, and the staff are polite. The old town of Semarang is close enough to walk to. I highly recommend the hotel.
