Ibis Budget Semarang Tendean

Figo and especially Linda were available and helpful, booking our next trip and sharing tips for seeing the city. Breakfast was fine for us, with plenty of things to eat. The rest of the stay had problems: we had to ask staff to replace the dirty linen after we got the room, though they changed it quickly and the fresh linen was clean. The main road made it a little noisy. The furniture and equipment are old, and the hotel needs freshening up. There was a bad damp smell in both the corridor and room. As a French Brand, we don't feel this Ibis meets the standard level of the Accor group. Thank you to Figo and Linda.

The rooms were satisfactory, though some minor updates would improve the stay. Staff were friendly and attentive, and the location made it easy to get to nearby attractions and amenities. Comfortable enough and decent value for travelers exploring the area.

A really good coffee shop is right next door. The staff are nice, and the room was clean and tidy, with an air conditioner and Wi-Fi that both worked well. The location is good for getting to things, though not close enough to walk everywhere.

I only planned to stay 8-9 hours on my drive back to Jakarta from Surabaya, then get back on the road early, so I didn't need anything fancy. The receptionist was friendly and quick to respond. I know it's a budget hotel, maybe one or two stars, but the bed was unacceptable (see photo). Housekeeping brought fresh sheets quickly, but cleanliness still felt like a 1/5. I checked out after just 15 minutes in the room.
