Nusatu by ARTOTEL - Semarang

The room was spacious for a superior category, with a plush bed that fit two comfortably. I liked having two mirrors, including a lit one by the bedside that worked as a makeup table. The desk was fine, and the smart TV had YouTube and Netflix. The bathroom had separate shower and toilet areas, and the shower room was roomy, with both rain and handheld showerheads. There was no bidet, though. We came for one night with my wife, and found the stay comfortable and convenient. The hotel sits uphill, a few kilometers from downtown Semarang, the train station, and airport, so it’s still accessible despite not being in the city center. It seemed very clean, perhaps because it’s relatively new, and the lobby and corridors smelled nice. Staff were professional and quick at check-in and checkout. I asked room service for an iron and ironing board, and they brought them promptly. Parking felt tight, especially at busy times, but the parking staff were helpful and responsive. Breakfast was decent. I didn’t get to try the gym or pool. I’d recommend it for a short, relaxing visit.

I tried both the standard and superior rooms over three nights split between two bookings. Both were spacious, bigger than rooms I’ve had at other hotels. The staff were helpful and pleasant, breakfast was good, and there’s a nice indoor pool. The small gym was empty when we went in. My one suggestion is to extend breakfast until 11 instead of ending at 10. It was a good stay, and I’d return to Semarang.

The bed was large and really comfortable, and the food at akara dining was delicious. Big thanks to mas Syaiful for being such an attentive waiter 🙏

Nusatu is a fresh, clean new 4-star hotel in Semarang, and the service was great. I enjoyed the drinks too. A good place to stay, thanks Nusatu!
