A nice spot.

At the promotional rate, breakfast isn’t included, but there are lots of food stalls outside within walking distance. The parking area is spacious, though cars have to navigate a fairly narrow access road, and the plants around the hotel help keep the surroundings cool. I stayed in low season, when the price was relatively affordable, and the amenities were better than at most guesthouses. The rooms have carpet, the AC is cool, and the hot water works, so low season is a good time to make use of the hotel facilities.

The lobby was fine, but the suite I booked on the fifth floor, at the end of the hall, looked nothing like the picture. The members were dirty, and the sofa upholstery was dotted with cigarette burns. A dusty cupboard, a poorly cleaned bathroom, and a faucet that was hard to turn added to it. The hot water didn’t run, and the bathtub curtain was yellow and dirty. There was no tissue or bin in the room. The sheets and pillowcases were stained, and the towels smelled musty. They only brought towels after I asked, and the ones I got were dull with torn seams. To top it off, two rotten mattresses were left right outside the room that was meant to be a suite. I won’t stay here again 😥

The service was really satisfying. The one hitch was check-in: it’s supposed to be at 14:00, but we couldn’t get into the room until 15:00.
