The Ryokan Semarang

I found this a reliable place for a quiet, uncomplicated stay in Semarang. The uncluttered, minimalist Japanese style helps the room feel relaxing, and there’s a Smart TV. It covered the basics comfortably and gave me a peaceful spot to rest at night, away from the city noise.

Mbak Salsa and Mbak Fika were especially helpful, and the staff made sure I had what I needed throughout my stay. I’d come back, and next time I’ll bring family and friends. The small, casual hotel feels friendly and homey, and while it’s in a residential part of Semarang, I found it fairly easy to locate. The price is affordable and the service was excellent. When I first got to room 203, though, it was dusty and had dead bugs in it. I went downstairs to complain, and the staff promptly offered to clean it.

It’s a new, very clean hotel with a Japanese theme and minimalist look, and the price is hard to beat. The staff are attentive, and the residential neighborhood is very quiet. You’ll want a vehicle, though, since the location isn’t ideal without one. I liked the thick, lovely towels but wished there were a larger one for after a shower. There’s only one electrical outlet, which was fine for me. I hope they keep up the maintenance.

The room is spotless, and the hotel still feels brand new.
