Breakfast was the one thing I really liked. There were quite a few choices, even though the menu was almost the same each day during my 4D3N stay. The bathroom smelled a bit, and the kettle hadn’t been cleaned. It was filled with old tea leaves, which was pretty disgusting. It made me wonder whether the room had actually been sterilized before I checked in. I was also told that Deluxe rooms had a true King Bed. I’d originally booked a Grand Deluxe, but was told that type had no King Bed and the only option was to join the single beds, or change to Deluxe for a true King Bed. I changed the booking, but still got two single beds joined together, which they called a King Bed. It was quite uncomfortable and disappointing.

The location and food were nice, and the cake was good too. The gym area probably needs an upgrade. For the pool, I think adding some stairs would make it better.

We had two connecting rooms in April for a week with the kids, which worked really well. They were roomy and very clean, and housekeeping changed the towels and made the beds each day. The staff were friendly and helpful, and the laundry came back quickly and in good shape. The rooftop pool and bar were a highlight, especially for cooling off while looking out over Semarang. The hotel sits up in the hills but is still close enough to the city centre. We also liked breakfast, particularly the cosy outdoor seating and brEGGfast tables. There was plenty to choose from, Indonesian and European food as well as great pastries. In the evening, the Skylounge was a nice place for a drink and music. When we were there, two guitar players performed songs we really enjoyed. Wimarion hotel exceeded what we expected. We hope to come back!
