Pergasingan Hill, a supermarket, coffee, and warungs are all close by, and Sembalun itself is beautiful. The room was nice and so were the people. We were welcomed with a drink and had nasi goreng for breakfast. There’s no basin in the room, though apparently that’s common on Lombok.

The owner was nice, but the place itself was terrible. There was mould, no bed covers, no towel, no toilet paper or tissues, and nobody mentioned breakfast. No AC either, and I had to ask for a fan. There’s only one outlet, so you have to choose between running the fan and charging your phone. The windows have no mesh, which means fresh air comes with mosquitos, or you get no air at all. Avoid.

The room was pleasant, though we found lots of ants. It’d be handy to have a table and chairs on the front porch.
