It's a humble, affordable place in a remote spot, with a beautiful view and good service. Don't expect fancy five-star hotel service out here. I tried the fried rice and toast, and they were simply delicious, classic dishes. A lovely little sanctuary.

The morning view is beautiful, but there are insects flying and crawling around the room, which feels uncomfortable. Nights get cold in the mountains up north, and it was hard to warm up in the wooden room.

We stayed for about three weeks in December. Even in the wet, low season, the weather was tolerable and the service impeccable. The local food was simple, tasty, plentiful, and very good value. Our guide Azmi made sure we used our time well. We saw a lot of Lombok, including the Gili’s, forests and beaches, and even went all the way around the island. I'd gladly recommend a stay at Villa Bambu, and you'd be lucky to find a better guide to Lombok and what it has to offer than Azmi. Thanks, mate!

I really didn't want to leave. The view from the Sunset Bar was lovely, the food was so good, and the rooms were clean, quiet, and peaceful. The place is also so well situated, close to both the waterfalls and the traditional village.

The waterfall gates are only about a ten-minute walk away, so the location is great. There are several cozy bungalows with clean rooms, and the staff were extremely friendly. There's a restaurant too, with excellent views.
