Sheraton Senggigi Beach Resort

We spent three nights at this resort, and the setting was a real plus: pleasant surroundings and close to the beach. For reference, the beaches in the south and east of the island are more beautiful. The resort has a sea turtle hatchery, with a free designated feeding each day. Our room felt more dated than those at other high-end resorts we've stayed in, and it took a long time for the hot water to come through.

We spent a week here over New Year's with the family. The stay was a mixed bag, but we all had a relaxing time, and we'd consider returning with more modest expectations of Sheraton. The grounds are attractive, with lovely gardens and a great pool. Staff were consistently polite and friendly. Breakfast was decent, especially the coffee. Our connecting rooms were dated but large, very clean, and comfortable. Being right by the beach was nice, and we booked a great day trip to the Gilis with a boat operator there. The beach itself was less appealing: our kids enjoyed it, but most days there was plastic and other rubbish, even in the water. The hotel can't control what washes ashore, but a couple of staff could clean it up. I picked up plastic myself and couldn't find a bin, and even saw a local policeman collecting rubbish one day. I don't understand why the hotel doesn't do the same to improve the guest experience. For a Sheraton resort, I expected better service. Nobody ever asked if we wanted drinks while we were on the pool beds, so it didn't feel like a five-star experience. The food management was more concerning: on several occasions the kitchen had run out of different dishes, including pizza on two separate days.

The people made leaving incredibly hard. We felt so close to so many of the staff, and the day before departure was already emotional. We went home with tears in our eyes and lovely memories, thankful for the care we'd received. We had never experienced such genuine warmth and hospitality on our travels before. Thanks as well to the gardeners, housekeeping staff, and everyone else. Everyone did an outstanding job. We stayed from November 12th to December 11th, 2025. The older hotel has a cosy, pleasant charm, with traditional architecture surrounded by lots of nature. Our room was comfortable, nicely furnished, and had everything we needed. We could see the garden and even the sea. The beach is in a bay, good for long, beautiful walks. Behind the beach loungers is a pool area built in a traditional Indonesian style. It looks rustic and is more than enough for swimming or relaxing. Breakfast was included and truly top-notch, with something for everyone: Indonesian dishes that changed daily, freshly made eggs and soups, fresh breads and rolls in different varieties, tasty croissants and pastries, local fresh fruit, and plenty more. We loved our time with this family-like team and are already looking forward to seeing everyone again. Thank you! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

We found the resort peaceful, relaxing, and well maintained. The room was cozy and clean, with a lovely view, and the beach nearby was very clean too. Check-in was quick, and the staff were always smiling and happy to help. Breakfast was tasty, especially the fresh fruit and coffee. The Wi-Fi was sometimes weak, and a little more menu variety would be nice. Still, everything was great for the price, and we'd love to return.
