Villa Banyan

The time went by far too quickly, and we could easily have stayed longer. We’ve stayed in many villas, but this one ranks at the top for us, especially because the service was better than anything we’ve experienced elsewhere. Breakfast was ready before 6 a.m. on our departure day. We’re grateful to everyone at Villa Banyan, and to Mr. Thomas, who answered our questions quickly and gave us helpful information. We spent two wonderful weeks there in August and September 2018. We’re two couples around 55, travelling with our 20-year-old son, who uses a wheelchair. The villa was even better than we’d expected from the photos and our conversations with its friendly, reliable owner, Mr. Thomas. It was tidy and beautifully cared for, and we enjoyed looking through the rooms to choose our bedrooms. Everything worked well, and we loved the peaceful, luxurious feel. Villa Banyan worked very well for our son. There are just five steps at the entrance, and after that it’s more or less wheelchair-accessible. Suryana even found a plastic chair for him to use in the shower. Ariana’s cooking was one of the highlights. Suryana took great care of the villa and was always nearby, even when we couldn’t see him. The driver was helpful, the two gardeners knew their work, and the security guard made rounds every night. Just before we left, one of our group suddenly feared they might have a detached retina. Ariana, Suryana and the driver helped us get to the hospital.

The villa staff are amazing, and the place had everything I wanted from a dream holiday. It’s four hours from the airport.
