Kubu D'Carik Villa & Bungalow

The property itself is great, but the move from the private villa to a bungalow was handled poorly. I’d stayed nearly a year when the owner took back the villa, and I was told nine days before my lease ended that I’d need to move. They asked which bungalow I wanted, and I chose Bungalow 1 by the pool. That choice was already clear, but two days before the lease ended I was told another guest had been given the room. As the longest-staying guest, I expected some priority, especially over someone new. That guest often drank noisily on the balcony, played loud music until 3 AM, and argued with his partner. Management still seemed to prioritize them. The communication and organization were disappointing. I’ve worked in hospitality across the Middle East and Asia, and clearer communication, better consideration for guests, and stronger hospitality standards would improve the experience.

The view and location were nice, but there were rats in the room and the tap water had sand in it.

Friendly staff, and a calm, quiet place.

The staff were really friendly, and it’s a beautiful place.
