Alamdhari Villa Sidemen

We booked three nights in a deluxe double room and ended up extending to five. The setting is pretty, the location is handy for lots of restaurants, and our room had a stunning view. It was spacious, clean and tidy, with a safe, a comfortable bed and soft bedding. The pool area was lovely, the grounds were kept in good shape, and staff could be reached on WhatsApp. We hired Scoopy scooters for 100k a day. Staff were generally nice, though there were times when communication in person and over WhatsApp was awkward. We're Scottish and know our accents can be strong, but I'd rather someone say they didn't understand than act as though they did. The rate through Agoda was a good deal for the room; the direct price felt too high for what you get. There were a few things that made the stay less peaceful. We were in the lower part of the hotel, which suited us because I wanted quiet, but construction across the field went on the whole time, from 8am until sometimes around 6pm. The shower also ran out of hot water quickly. Housekeeping threw away something of mine that wasn't anywhere near the bin. It wasn't a huge deal, but it annoyed me. Some of the furnishings need replacing, and card payments come with a 3% fee. Breakfast was terrible, just pastries and a little fruit, and once was enough for us. Overall we had a nice stay, but there were definite areas that could be better. I probably wouldn't book directly at the price they quoted.
