Tepi Sungai Guest House

The food was excellent, and the riverside setting gave the place a charming feel. Staff were wonderful and even served food during thunderstorms. Their hospitality made a real difference. I also wished there were more toiletries, since shampoo and conditioner were lacking. I had a great stay overall, though a few things interfered with sleep. Being close to the river meant the rushing water could make it hard to fall asleep. A few times I was woken as early as 4 in the morning by rain and motorbikes, making a restful night's sleep difficult. The hotel was enjoyable despite those drawbacks, and I'd recommend it, with the possibility of noise disturbances in mind.

There is a lovely terrace for breakfast, lunch, or dinner, and a pool surrounded by nature. The villa complex is very nice. Our room was spacious, clean, and had a private bathroom. The staff were super friendly and kind, and available all day.

They made the effort to meet our air conditioning requirements, and the service was very good. The satay, noodle soup, and the rest were good too. We decided to stay longer.

The rooms were okay for the price, but I didn't think much of the breakfast. It's well placed for walks among the rice terraces and close to the main village. A river runs right beside the room, which could be a bit noisy for some people.
