Villa Shantiasa Bali

With only four rooms, this gorgeous little place felt very peaceful. The views were amazing, especially from the two rooms at the top. Our room was spacious and beautifully designed, with a strong shower, a large clean bathroom, and a generous patio facing the rice fields and mountain. The staff were kind and accommodating. We rented a motorbike from a nearby shop and had a wonderful time exploring the small roads. It was completely empty while we were there, and I’m not sure why, but I hope they get more business. Such a great spot. The only issue was the internet cutting in and out a bit. Hopefully they can sort that out.

The room was spacious, the bathroom comfortable, and the staff lovely. There was a nice view, an outdoor area to relax, good Wi-Fi, and all the services we needed on site. A few small fixes would improve things: a privacy sticker on the windows, especially in rooms facing the pool, would help, even though people can’t see in and you can see out. The wooden blind was partly broken and wouldn’t shut fully, so the early morning light was bright and privacy wasn’t great. The bathroom sink leaked, making the pump start up repeatedly. It might help to switch on the AC before guests arrive, since our sheets felt a bit damp. The bedding wasn’t very comfortable either, so the mattress should be flipped. Still, it’s a lovely place, and I’d stay again.

We loved the place so much that we came back just for the view. There are only four rooms, and breakfast, lunch, and dinner are available on site, or at any of the delicious warungs nearby. It’s a quiet mountain escape with stunning scenery, a good way to get away from the crowds in the south for a few days. You could also use it as a base to explore local waterfalls or temples. A real hidden gem in central Bali.

The view from our room was the best, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We had a great time at Villa Shantiasa in Sidemen. Breakfast was lovely, and dinner at the villa was great too, if you choose to eat there. We really enjoyed our stay and would certainly recommend it.
