So beautiful 😍 This villa is a wonderful homestay for a refreshing break 👍👍
Such a lovely place 🤍
The villa has a private pool, typically saltwater or infinity style, with views over the rice paddies and forest, a lovely setting for a swim at sunset. It sits in a beautiful area like Ubud or Ubud, among broad green rice fields, lush trees, and a peaceful stream, away from the city bustle. The design blends modern and traditional Balinese styles. It has two bedrooms with en suite bathrooms, a living room, and an open kitchen facing nature. Facilities include a kitchen, air conditioning, Wi-Fi, daily housekeeping, and an in-villa spa.
We had a satisfying stay in July 2023, though I’m only getting around to writing this now, hehehe. It’s a good choice if you want a budget-friendly 2 BR villa in Ubud with lovely views and cool air. The owner's son was friendly, responsive, and quick to reply in chat. The pool is quite spacious and deep, up to an adult’s height. Sadly it rained for two days in a row, so lots of ants came down from the bedroom ceiling, but mosquito nets were provided on every bed. The kitchen had all the cooking utensils, and there was a spacious bathroom, clothesline, hair dryer, and a king bed.
Elinda was warm, responsive, and very helpful during our month at the villa. She quickly helped with electricity, gas, and other household issues. The place is fully equipped, with plenty of dishes, cupboards, a large fridge, water cooler, TV, and good WiFi. The location is excellent too, with a very good warung, shops, and laundry nearby. The condition and upkeep were disappointing. No one met us at check-in, and we somehow found the key ourselves. The hosts arrived a couple of hours later, which hadn’t been agreed. The villa was untidy, with dust and mold throughout. We weren’t told how to pay for electricity, internet, gas, or drinking water, and had to ask the hostess at night when our supplies were running low. Cleaning was poor at first, and I repeatedly complained about dirt in obvious places. A different woman took over and worked hard, so it improved, but the villa still wasn’t clean. You could see that in the photos taken right after cleaning. The villa isn’t ventilated properly. Rain dampness meant rooms and belongings never dried, and the bathroom cupboard was especially bad. Things became moldy within a month, and we had to throw many of them away. Dehumidifiers or extra ventilation might help. Being above a jungle river means giant crab spiders, scorpions, and worms showed up in the rooms each evening. There were also lots of mosquitoes coming through gaps between the roof and walls, though canopies were provided. The boiler was so small it wasn’t enough for one shower, let alone two. One kitchen burner didn’t work, the pool went a month without being cleaned of salt deposits or whatever they were, and many lights in the rooms and along the path had burned out. One potted plant died because the staff didn’t water it or remove it once it dried out. The villa is nice, but it felt neglected and wasn’t well maintained. With the dampness and these upkeep issues, it may not be a great option for a long-term stay.
