Hotel Mylovina

The location worked perfectly for us: the hotel sits on a quiet road, yet the main street’s shops and restaurants are only about a minute away. The grounds are carefully kept, the pool is big, and the hotel itself is beautiful and peaceful. Breakfast was delicious, with a good range of choices. Our room booking was a problem from the start. We’d reserved two double rooms for eight nights, but at check-in were told only twin rooms were available. Staff couldn’t say when doubles might open up. The first night, we pushed the beds together and found a terrible amount of dust underneath. We put out the cleaning sign the next morning, but the room still hadn’t been cleaned when we got back that evening, so we spent two nights with thick dust on the floor. We asked each day about a double room and got no clear answer. After four nights, I was moved to a double, but our friend, who’d also booked one, never was. Half of our stay, and our friend’s entire trip, was spent without the room we’d paid for. Both rooms also had blocked shower drains, so water pooled around your feet within minutes, and both bathrooms smelled awful.

We chose the hostel side of the property, which has both a hostel and a hotel section. The manager was friendly and accommodating. Our room was decent rather than fancy, and had a lovely view of the sea. There’s a pool and restaurant, and the beach is only a few meters away.

We had everything we needed for a week here, and the staff were so friendly and helpful. All we got from them was smiles. We love this hotel.

The calm setting and the water garden made the meal feel peaceful, and the food itself had lovely flavors. Prices were pleasantly affordable, so we could enjoy the dishes without feeling guilty. A restaurant full of nice little surprises, and one I’d say is worth a visit.
