Villa Teman

We had eight adults in our group and stayed for a week. The villas were roomy, clean, and had that lovely Balinese style. We especially liked the lush greenery and great pool, plus the air conditioning and plenty of power points in the bedrooms. It’s an easy walk to beaches, shops, and restaurants, though the villas still feel quiet and private. Fresh breakfast was cooked for us each morning. Mira and her team were the highlight, helping with tours, dinner bookings, scooters, and whatever else we needed. They made our family holiday special. Thanks, Villa Teman team. We’d love to come back!

We enjoyed the ladies’ service, and Villa 3 looked nice, but there were a few things that didn’t work for us. The bathroom got very wet during rain season, and a gardener came in each morning at different times, so there wasn’t really any morning privacy. We also expected more variety at breakfast. There weren’t many options, and it was exactly the same every day.

We could walk to everything from here, and the little town where Villa Teman is well known felt friendly. The villa itself was magnificent, with a private pool, a big open living area, kitchen access, and a large bedroom with its own garden bathroom. The staff were attentive, fantastic, and very friendly. We got to relax and enjoy our time, and we’ll be back.

We brought the family here as a special treat, but it was a big disappointment. At check-in, the receptionist couldn’t find my reservation, so I waited a long time. When her colleague eventually showed up with a key, she said it was her day off and gave me a look. Then at 6.45 am, the gardener woke me outside my window. I took a photo of him about 6 inches from it. Watering the soil seemed to take priority over letting guests sleep. I later spotted a warning about this near the bottom of page 4 in the house rules book. It should have been made clearer. At 8.30am over breakfast, I thought we’d finally be left in peace. I had a slice of watermelon on my fork, one inch from my lips, when someone asked, “So what time is your driver coming?” It felt like staff convenience came first, with guests expected to disturb them as little as possible.
