For 10 US$ a night, the room is spacious compared with the nearby Sun Star hotel at the same price. The location is good, the air conditioning works, and the wifi reception is good. Some rooms have windows at no extra charge, though the LCD TV is small.

I booked a suite at an affordable price, but it felt narrow and was difficult for me to do sholat. The AC leaked, leaving the floor wet by morning. The bathroom was clean and had both hot and normal water. The hotel is in central Singkawang, right beside the vihara, with food stalls easy to find morning and night. Since it’s also a hangout area, rooms facing outside get too noisy.

The second floor doesn’t have a water heater. Still, the place is very clean, nice, and cheap, right in the city center. It’s a good fit for backpackers and people on a low budget.

The building, toilet, and room furniture are all old, though the place was clean. I stayed one night on 23.02.2018. Its real strong point is the central location, with everything within walking distance.

The parking area is small, and our room’s toilet door wouldn’t close. We couldn’t switch rooms because none were empty at the time. Still, it was okay overall. There are lots of food stalls nearby and the temple is close, right in the city center. If money’s tight, you could choose this hotel.
