Hotel my Home

The cleanliness was only 4/10 for a 3 star hotel. I was given a room beneath a discotheque, which runs from 23.00-03.00 on 6 nights out of 7 each week. That’s a bad choice for a business trip, since you won’t get any rest.

The location is handy, close to restaurants and coffee shops. The room itself is quite good, though the bedding and towels could be more comfortable. There’s a club beside or behind the hotel, so it gets noisy at night. Ask for a room at the front or away from the wall near the club.

The place is good and the service is good too, but the food was below average. Check-out at reception was fine, while check-in was bad. I booked a week ahead, then arrived to be told the hotel was full and my reservation had been cancelled without notice. I had to find another hotel. If you plan to book here, keep a backup plan in case they drop your reservation without telling you.

For a budget hotel, it’s about what I expected, and in a small town like Sintang it’s the best place you can stay. I booked a superior double, but the room was small, and the bathroom was cramped too. The shower is narrow, and it’s hard to move around because it’s so close to the toilet.
