Grand Dian Hotel Slawi

The food was just okay, and the service didn't feel much different from the other properties in the group. My deluxe room had plenty of space, as did the bathroom. But the bed linen looked dirty, and the towels seemed heavily used, with wrinkled edges. The bathroom sink may have recently been moved, because its water pipe wasn't properly shut and kept dripping. The floor stayed wet and looked dirty.

The food was okay, and the superior room felt bigger and more comfortable. For a short stay, the place is passable, but my air conditioner leaked. The bathroom setup also felt a bit odd: the shower faced the toilet and sink with no partition, and there was no toilet paper.

We booked three nights, but the hotel tried to cancel one because it was overbooked. The food was reasonable, as was the service, though prices were on the high side. It's a fairly new hotel and apparently the top one in Slawi, but the layout is strange, with more than half the rooms probably lacking windows. The pool sits right beside the car park. The beds were okay, though the sheets were oddly too short.

Our family room had three single beds and no windows at all, so it felt like being in a cave. It was spacious, the staff were friendly, and the price was affordable. Cleanliness could use a little work.
