The location is convenient, and the rooms are tidy and clean. There’s a cooking area, plus complimentary coffee and tea. The bathrooms have air conditioning and a water heater. A comfortable place all around.

What a regret booking this hotel. There was a price mismatch, and the customer got thrown out! We’d traveled all the way to a remote area and paid in full for three nights, but after just one night we were made to leave. No refund, and nothing to make up for the disappointment. They don’t seem to care about the people affected. This is what happens when everything goes wrong.

ZONK! This was a really unpleasant stay. We booked through OYO for 300,000 Rupiah, with check-in on Sunday afternoon and check-out set for Wednesday afternoon. After one night, the owner kicked us out, saying the OYO rate of 70,000 Rupiah per night didn’t match his own rate of 300,000 Rupiah per night. He already knew at check-in that our booking ran through Wednesday. The owner also came across as unprofessional and intrusive. Whenever we left the room, he’d be waiting for us and watching what we did. We noticed because we were the only guests, and the other rooms were empty. We’d booked before reading the Google Maps reviews, then found out this had apparently happened before. The location is pretty remote too, so the experience and comfort weren’t worth it.

Mount Merapi in the distance and rice fields all around made the garden and room feel special. We ended up staying the night after Otto and his wife, children, and the rest of the family did everything they could to help us. They were some of the kindest people I've met, and the stay became one of the best parts of my trip. Everything was perfect. I understand the negative reviews may be connected to their OYO contract ending and losing access to room booking apps, so they may not always know when a booking comes in. That isn't their fault, and aside from this issue I don't think the poor ratings are deserved. A sincere thank you from Jean and Noé.
