The Wi-Fi was down for several days, and I also went without hot water in the bathroom for several days when I was one of the first guests. I’d paid a premium, so it was disappointing not to be able to use everything they’d promised. I’m not a fan of the “unfinished building” look either. There’s cement flooring in every room, including the bathroom. It might look cool, but it felt uncomfortable to walk on and less hygienic. For what they charge, I wish they’d do more.

For the price, it was okay overall, and the room was small but alright. I stayed a month, and they only cleaned it once, after I’d asked many times. Bugs were all over the room, so I had to buy spray and clean up the dead ones myself. There weren’t any towels, toiletries, or even toilet paper, and they charged 50k IDR for a blanket. They also charged me extra to change the bed sheets and pillowcases. Even after I paid 50k and changed them myself, the replacement sheets were filthy, with blood and foot stains. It was disgusting. Some of the housekeepers were really clueless, though one person I met was helpful and kind. The industrial design was nice, but the cleaning was not.

I enjoyed staying at D’Paragon, though the room had a strong cigarette smell and could use some fragrance to freshen it up. It’d also be useful to have a dispenser with hot and cold water.

Only got to spend one night here, unfortunately 😂 It’s a nice place, especially if you want a fluffy bed and miss having a bolster 🙈
