Grand Altuz Hotel Yogyakarta

The staff were friendly and very helpful, and the suite on the ninth floor was a decent size, neither cramped nor especially spacious. But I was disappointed by what was missing: no hand soap in either bathroom, sanitary bag, bathrobe, or laundry bag. The shower was cold and had very low pressure, so it took much longer to wash. There was also a loud noise coming from upstairs that kept me from sleeping at all. The parking area is quite far from the hotel, which made going out inconvenient since we had to walk there each time. I was on holiday with my family.

The staff were the best, so friendly, helpful, and patient with me ;-). Breakfast and the evening buffet were good, and the beds were very comfortable. I did have to change rooms because my ears are sensitive.

For my business trip, the room was clean and standard in size, and breakfast was pretty standard too. The staff were very friendly. Parking is the downside: it’s an open lot about a five minute walk away, though valet service is available if you need it. The location is the real draw, with plenty of F&B places next door, so it’s easy to try the food around Seturan.

The room was comfortable, and the staff were professional and well mannered. The internet was almost unusable, so we had to rely on our own data. The pool had nowhere to sit, and the small surrounding floor was narrow and wet. There were no beach towels there either. The lobby is tiny, with too few seats, and even valet parking doesn’t make up for the distant parking lot. Some rooms face a cement wall about five meters away. The toilets look unrenovated, and the fitness room was closed despite being advertised.
