There are lots of books around, mostly in English, which made it nice to relax and pick one up to read. The room itself felt spacious and cozy. My only issue was that the hot water didn't always work.

For an affordable stay near the airport, this place feels homey and is also well placed for visiting the scenic temples. If you'd rather get away from the crowds around Malioboro, you can stay here for the same price per person.

The owner is really laid-back, and the place offers very good value. It was hard to find, though, and there's no water heater (Reddoorz Near Stasiun Maguwo).
