If you're after the food, order from the menu left in the room. The Javanese dishes are among the tastiest I've had, with great seasoning and cooking, and the staff are friendly. The buffet wasn't very appealing, though. In Kaliurang, you get breezy, slightly chilly weather and a welcome escape from the city's bustle, with reasonably priced rooms. The beds are clean and cozy, but amenities are very basic. The bathroom is fully wet, with no curtain or glass to keep the shower water separate.

We had a lovely view of Mount Merapi from the hotel, and the air was so fresh. Breakfast was delicious too. I arrived at noon even though check-in was supposed to be at 2 pm, and the front desk service was good. They offered us a room around 12 without making us wait.

The drinks were really satisfying, and the rooftop is a great place to hang out with friends. At Pullman Bandung's newest spot, Akasa Rooftop Bar, the view over Bandung makes an impression as soon as you arrive.

We booked for four adults, and the room felt comfortable. It was very clean and tidy, and in the morning we could clearly see Mount Merapi.

The family room is spacious and good value for the money. Service was good, and the staff were friendly. Kopi Pocinan Astomulyo is nearby, and Ulen Selalu Museum is within walking distance.
