We ended up leaving and finding another hotel, and we were not reimbursed for the three nights we had booked. On arrival, we found bedbugs and stains on the bed in our room, both on top of and beneath the sheets. We asked the owner for another room, but the bed there also seemed to have bugs and stains. He said they were small bits of wood from the ceiling, but couldn't explain how they got under the sheets, and he quickly crushed the bugs on the bed with his hands. There were no other rooms to try, so this account is based on the two we saw. The owner was disrespectful and threatened legal action if we posted a review to warn potential customers. This place seems to have a bedbug problem. We added pictures so you can judge for yourself.

The location felt cramped, on a tiny plot boxed in by walls with no proper view. The bigger issue was the booking: online sites confirmed my stay twice, but the owner said he'd already canceled the agreement with them and told me I'd have to pay a new price if I wanted to stay. The management didn't honor its commitment, and it was a crazy way to run a hotel. Worst hotel experience I've had, mainly because of that. If I could give minus stars, it'd be minus 5. Be careful about staying here.

The room felt homey, and the price was reasonable. It's also fairly close to the city. A good place to experience life in a traditional Javanese joglo house.

For a distinctive stay, the joglo is made from wood dating to around 1780. Mr Deny, the owner, is very nice and will provide what you need. I'd highly recommend it for a unique experience.

The surroundings were unpleasant, on a road in the middle of nowhere. It wasn't clean, and the place didn't look at all like the online ad.
