OYO 2098 Homestay KK

I came over from another OYO and was lucky there was still a room free. The place was comfortable and clean, and the owner was nice. It’s fairly close to the main road, so it could be an option. There was a TV, AC, a shower, and two towels. I didn’t take any photos.

I’m the one left out of pocket here. Booking.com had already charged me and confirmed the room was secured, but when I arrived, there was no room and I was just told to go home. Nobody helped me figure out what to do next. Booking.com’s service was terrible too, with no customer support available. I didn’t want to call and pay for phone credit just to get help. The room had cost 98,000 Rupiah. I’m fed up.

After coming all the way from Jakarta, I was turned away, with no one taking responsibility. I had paid through Traveloka. The homestay said it had ended its partnership with OYO, yet the promotion was still appearing in the travel app. Absolutely disgusting.

I’d traveled all the way to YK, only to find the hotel management in this state. I booked directly through the OYO app and paid in full, then the booking was suddenly canceled and my money was never refunded. When I contacted OYO, they said they had canceled it. This is awful, honestly. If you’re no longer working with OYO, don’t use its name, and certainly don’t advertise on other apps.
