I was very happy with the stay. The room was spacious, neat, comfortable, and clean, and the kitchen had the basic things you need. I’d recommend it to everyone.

The private pool was the letdown. There were insects in it, the water looked dirty, and the flow wasn’t running, so it wasn’t inviting to use. I’d hoped to have breakfast by the pool, which made that especially disappointing. The floating breakfast was a lovely traditional touch, but the food was just average, neither bad nor anything special. Ubu Villa Padi’s Jogja itself was restful, with a quiet room and a nature-filled setting that felt like a break from city stress, especially in the morning and evening. The villa had a well-equipped kitchen, bathtub, toiletries, welcome drink, prayer mat and mukena, free coffee and tea, plus TV and internet. Better pool upkeep and breakfast could make the stay stronger.

We spent five days here and had no real issues apart from missing keys for the terrace and bathroom. I understand the semi-outdoor setup, but a lockable terrace door leading to the pool would feel safer and more comfortable, particularly for guests with toddlers.
