We’ve stayed at Hotel Toho more than once and keep coming back whenever we’re in Nias. Akila and Anna make the place feel welcoming and comfortable, and their care and kindness mean a lot to us. They’re happy to help with anything, from arranging rides and meals to sharing local tips. Anna’s food is cooked fresh each day, delicious, and clearly made with care. Our room was clean and comfortable, with air conditioning that was much appreciated in the tropical heat. It’s an easy walk to Lagundri Bay and the famous Point Break surf spot, so the location works really well for surfers and beach lovers. Thanks, Akila and Anna. We’re already looking forward to coming back.

The family made my week on Nias feel special, and the place has a great view right by two wicked surf breaks. It’s cheap, clean and comfortable, with excellent air conditioning and hot water. Andy sorted me out with a scooter and a surfboard, and showed me some great places around the island. Anna’s cooking is the best on the island, so I ate in more than I went out. I couldn’t recommend Toho enough if you need somewhere to stay in Sorake.

We spent three weeks at Toho Hotel Nias and ate every meal there. Anna’s food was wonderful, with lots of variety, and we enjoyed every dish. The value is fantastic and the service is lovely. Akila also took us to different places around the island, including great trips and airport transfers. The accommodation has a great view and a fantastic restaurant. Thanks, Akila and Anna, for such a lovely stay. We can’t wait to come back.
