M Hotel Express Sorong

Breakfast was very good, and we liked the rooftop restaurant and bar, where they serve beer and alcoholic cocktails. The food was good too, though prices were a little above the Sorong average. Service could be quicker: one dish took 15 to 20 minutes to arrive, then we waited another 15 to 20 minutes for the next. The hotel is well run, with helpful staff who fixed several small room issues right away. Our room was spacious, quiet despite being beside a main road, and had a very comfortable bed. The executive suite bathroom was a decent size, with a tub and shower. There’s car parking, not just space for motorbikes, and the airport is only about 10 minutes away. We noticed that many floors in the building are uneven, though we’re not sure why. We’d stay again.

Our group waited until 3pm as instructed when we went to the rooftop bar for drinks, only to be told there were no cocktails. Felt like a waste of time.

I really liked the rooftop restaurant for happy hour and dinner, especially the delicious fish dish. We were there last July, and the staff were friendly and helpful. I used the laundry service every day, and the clothes came back nicely done. The F&B manager was hands on and checked that cleanliness and standards were being kept up. Keep up the good work, M Hotel. You're small, but exceptional.

There are two restaurants on the 8th floor for breakfast and dinner, with a night view over kota sorong. The room is spacious and comes with a full set of amenities. It’s about 15 minutes from the sorong airport. In the bathroom, make sure the drain cap is put back in place to keep sewer odor from coming into the room. The AC filter needs regular cleaning, and the remote’s leaking battery should be replaced.
