POP! Hotel BSD City Tangerang

The room wasn't very spacious, but it was clean and inexpensive.

Breakfast was a bit disappointing. There weren't many choices, and when I came down at 7:15, most of the food was nearly gone. Maybe they make less on weekdays. The bathroom design was unusual, and I found a leak by its door. I stayed in a non-smoking twin room. They took a 100k IDR deposit, which was returned at checkout. The room itself was quite nice. It came with a toothbrush and toothpaste, one bar of soap and one liquid soap. Instead of bottled mineral water, there was a refillable bottle, with dispensers on each floor as part of their effort to reduce waste. Even with those issues, I had a nice first stay at a POP Hotel.

The room was small and had no soundproofing, and the Wi-Fi didn't work. The bathroom fell below standard, with no amenities to speak of. The bar soap and shampoo were awful.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and McD is right beside the hotel. The breakfast options were fairly varied, but the taste was ordinary. I wouldn't pick the fried rice. You have to choose your breakfast in advance and have it noted on the voucher. There were ants in my room. I told the man at the lobby, and he suggested they might be there because I brought food in. I hadn't left any food in the room the night before, though, and the ants were still there. The unusual, possibly portable toilet felt slippery, and there was no tissue in the room apart from the toilet. My room also had no hair dryer or fridge, perhaps because of its type. The up-and-down window curtain didn't work properly. The desk setup wasn't right for me, so I ended up using my laptop on the bed, which wasn't OK for a business trip.
