Bumi Linggah Villas Bali

The property is beautiful and feels like good value. The rooms are spacious, nice, and quiet, and the staff were friendly and helpful. There’s room to improve the lighting and a few small details, and the food quality could be better too. Still, I had a good stay.

The service was the biggest letdown. Staff weren’t welcoming, struggled to communicate in English, and the hospitality fell short of what we expected. We’d booked breakfast, but the floating breakfast cost extra and the menu was very limited. The place looks thoughtfully designed, but it was badly maintained. Ants and lizards were everywhere, and the lighting was poor in the rooms, bathrooms, pool area, and dining space. With open bathrooms and so little light, going outside at night felt uncomfortable and a bit scary.

The villa spoiled our trip, and I wouldn’t recommend staying here with just one or two people. It felt frightening with so few lights, and we couldn’t sleep or go outside comfortably. The rooms were very dirty, things were broken, and there were ants and bugs. We spent two nights there and never felt at ease. The first villa we were given was in terrible shape and needed cleaning and maintenance. Luckily, we managed to get another one. The food we ordered was really bad, and I felt I’d wasted one million on the candlelight dinner. With more people, it might be possible to stay, but I found the place scary.

We checked in at 6pm and left at 7pm that same evening. The staff didn’t seem to care why we were going, as though guests leaving without staying was normal. They were very unprofessional and showed no concern for what we experienced. The place felt like a horror movie set, with insects, large lizards, snakes, and who knows what else. It was the worst holiday experience I can imagine. I’d ask the Indonesian government to take strict action and close it, because it feels like someone’s life is being put at risk.
