For a Deluxe room, 300K IDR felt much too expensive given the problems. The toilet wouldn’t flush, there was no hot water despite staff previously saying there was, and the shower had a very weak stream. The air conditioning didn’t cool properly and there was no remote control. The one thing I’ll give them credit for is having a room available for a last-minute walk-in check-in.

This place has stayed in my memory. I was here for a couple of days in 2013, after Indonesian immigration police caught us somewhere in the city of Tasikmalaya while we were trying to go to Australia by boat, and kept us at this hotel. It’s been over 10 years since then, and I’ve now lived in Australia for more than 10 years, but I’ll never forget this hotel. Terima kasih banyak 🙏🙏🙏

I love staying here because the location brings Indonesia’s history to mind. It’s also close to Gambir Station, where the Kereta Api trains depart.
