Yanyan Resort Ubud

The restaurant food was delicious, and the shared pool was nice and cool. We also had an outdoor table and chairs, room service, a safe, bathrobes, flip-flops, and toothbrush and toothpaste. The bathroom had both a tub with salt and foam and a shower. In room 103, though, there was visible humidity on the walls. Mosquitoes showed up from noon until night, although staff can provide repellent. There aren’t any shops or attractions within walking distance.

The private pool was usable, though it didn’t seem very clean, perhaps because of the rain. The restaurant also had limited food choices, and the electrical outlets were Indonesian standard rather than international. Still, the resort is beautiful, surrounded by Ubud’s green vegetation, and our pool villa was a lovely place to stay. The staff were very pleasant and helpful, and I’d recommend the resort to everyone.

The staff were friendly and helpful, and the rooms were really nice. Getting to Ubud center was a bit of a trek, though. What disappointed me was checkout: they wouldn’t give us even 5 or 15 extra minutes, called our room several times, then came to the room without us asking while we still weren’t ready. It felt like they were pushing us out as quickly as possible.

The food was really tasty, and the place is beautiful, tucked into nature. It felt calm and peaceful throughout. From the first day, all the staff were lovely and friendly and tried to make our experience as good as possible. I’d recommend the hotel.
