I’d booked a twin room for two nights, but got just one bed. At check-in I was told an extra bed couldn’t go in a Superior room, and there were no smoking rooms, so the choices were to upgrade to Deluxe and add a bed or book another room. I chose the extra room, but was charged for only one night, then asked to pay for the second night when I tried to upgrade, even though my original booking was already for two nights. I’d asked for a smoking room and an extra bed when booking on Agoda. The hotel messaged that it had noted the request, but said it needed to be confirmed again at check-in. Call before booking. At 450 a night with no breakfast, there’s no rooftop or pool either. I went ahead because the reservation was already made and couldn’t be cancelled.

At night there’s a hawker nearby if you want to try local food, and the hotel is surrounded by fast food places too. The location worked well for me. The staff are welcoming, the room was clean, and the facilities were okay. It’s a straightforward hotel with reasonable amenities for the price, and I thought it was a very good deal.

The room was clean and very good, and the air conditioning gets really cold. There’s a supermarket very close by, which is handy. The downside is the main road nearby: you can hear cars and other street activity in the room sometimes. The hotel is also understaffed, so you’re better off doing things yourself.

The room service menu is very limited, and the bed linen is often stained or dirty, so I had to keep asking housekeeping to change it. Those are the two things they should fix. Otherwise, the rooms and bathroom are spacious and fairly clean, and the price is very reasonable. Compared with what ibis or Harris charge for rooms of their size, this is good value. It’s one of the most underrated hotels, in solo baru.

I booked a twin Deluxe room, which was fairly spacious and clean. It could use better maintenance, though. There was no tissue paper, just toilet paper, the electric kettle wouldn’t open and had to be replaced, and there wasn’t a teaspoon.
