The room was spacious and the rate was affordable, with a nice pool, sauna, and really good food and drinks. Big thanks to Mba Putri for the warm welcome, quick check-in, and complimentary upgrade. Mas Qyren and Mas Tifan at the Lobby Lounge made time for a welcome drink, snacks, and a chat, while Mba Puji brought the welcome amenities. Mas Reyhan and Mas Dwi looked after us at the Restaurant, and Mba Anggun helped with my laundry. Everyone at Grand Mercure Solo Baru was welcoming and provided great service. A top luxury five-star stay in the Solo Baru area.

Arif made the stay especially memorable. He went out of his way to look after us, and even made my favorite coffee at the end of the stay. Breakfast was delicious too, with every dish well prepared and satisfying. We had a wonderful time at Grand Mercure Solo Baru and felt very well cared for. Such lovely hospitality, highly recommended.

The room was spotless, comfortable, and well equipped, and the facilities were well maintained. Breakfast was another highlight, tasty and nicely prepared with a satisfying range of choices. From the parking attendants through to reception, the restaurant, and pool teams, the staff were warm and attentive. Check-in was smooth, fast, and professional from the moment we arrived. That consistent, sincere service made the stay feel special. Grand Mercure Solo Baru exceeded my expectations, and I’d gladly recommend it for comfort, quality, and hospitality. I’m looking forward to coming back.

The location right beside a mall made shopping or finding food easy, and the suite had a beautiful view of Mount Merapi that my wife and I enjoyed throughout our stay. I joined Accor Plus on November 27 and could book right away with the member discount. Before arrival, the hotel contacted me about the upgrade, and at check-in I was pleased to receive Accor Gold status and a suite upgrade from the Executive Room I had booked. The suite was spacious, comfortable, well equipped, and nicely appointed, though its style felt a little dated. It was only a few steps from the lift. There wasn’t an iron or ironing board in the room, but staff brought one promptly when we asked. I had expected an Executive Lounge, then found out the hotel doesn’t have one. The suite upgrade and Gold recognition more than made up for that. I also learned the Executive Rooms have been newly renovated and refurbished, so I’d like to try one on a future visit. The hotel is currently being renovated. I didn’t use the other facilities, but had a look at the swimming pool, which is a decent size and has a lovely view of the city and mountains. It was a memorable, comfortable stay, and I’m looking forward to returning to see the renovated Executive Rooms.
