The security guard was the only good part of this place. The rest was frustrating: the gallon of drinking water often ran out, and shower water did too. They charge 200,000 Rupiah to use the elevator, yet even basic things like water aren’t reliably available. My 300,000 Rupiah deposit came back as 290,000 Rupiah because of an admin fee, and many of the rules weren’t explained upfront. Brown water also often leaks from the wall sockets in the room, which is dangerous for electronics. Feels like a boarding house for unsuspecting uncles...

They explain the rules when you arrive so everyone can stay comfortable, though there are definitely rules. I found the owner selective but kind, and the place itself is clean, safe, and comfortable. There are plenty of amenities, including drinking water, a shared kitchen, and an elevator. Access isn’t open to just anyone, which helps it feel secure.

Communication with the management at Kost Shasa was easy, and they were quick to help whenever something came up. Everything was provided as promised, with complete facilities. I was very satisfied and would recommend it to anyone looking for a comfortable boarding house in Solo Baru.

The gallon water is often empty, and water sometimes comes out of the electrical socket, which is dangerous for electronic devices. I paid already, but they deducted part of the deposit, so I didn't get the full amount back. It's expensive for what you get and wasn't what I expected.
