City Edge Guest House

I picked this hotel for a one-night stay on my second visit to Jatinangor, after being more careful about where to stay. I booked a superior room through WhatsApp two weeks ahead, paid a deposit, and confirmed the details. The admin staff replied quickly. It's in a handy spot near several campuses, McDonald’s, the main road, and Jatos (Jatinangor Town Square). The hotel sits in an exclusive boarding house complex with a gate and 24-hour security. It's small and comfortable, with an industrial design. The café is on the ground floor and the rooms are upstairs. My superior room had a window facing outside and decent amenities, though no hairdryer. The room had a slightly musty smell, and the blanket smelled damp and musty too, which made sleeping a bit difficult. The bathroom floor also didn't drain well after a shower. There were only two pillows. A mini fridge had three complimentary snacks, which was a nice touch. Dinner is available at the café downstairs, with reasonable prices. I didn't get to try the famous wood-fired pizza. I ordered fried rice and mie godog, and the taste was just okay. The food was far too sweet, including the mie godog, which is usually savory. A note to the chef. Breakfast is à la carte, not a buffet. For snacks or convenience items, there's a Lawson just outside the complex, a short walk to the left. It's still a solid place to stay when visiting Jatinangor. When I tried to book for my next trip, it was already full. Definitely recommended, but book well in advance.
