Bisanta Bidakara Surabaya

Tunjungan Plaza is a huge mall nearby, with shops and fast food. The staff were accommodating, and Kelvin at reception was kind enough to let us look at rooms one by one after we raised our concerns. We’d initially been given a small, old traditional room that felt dusty. Since it was our last day in Indonesia after three days of travel, we were worried about getting a proper rest. A staff member had brought in an extra bed when we mentioned the problem, and they assured us we could switch rooms and spoke to Kelvin. We eventually chose a bigger, newer, more modern room in the other building. The manager was friendly as well. Thanks for the kind gesture. Choose the other building, though it’s still new.

Breakfast was a highlight, with plenty to choose from, including nasi goreng, pecel, bubur ayam, spaghetti, and nasi kuning. My room at Hotel Bisanta Bidakara was roomy and came with a sofa, TV, closet, refrigerator, and a bathtub. The building is a little old, and the AC took about 20 minutes to come on. Its remote screen was blurry and the unit made a noticeable noise, though it started working again after a short time. The staff were responsive, and I was pleased with my stay in Surabaya.

The pool and facilities were lovely, and we had a great night here with the kids. I might come back next time. The room could use a few more amenities.

I left after only five minutes and found a much better hotel. The room smelled unpleasant and the key card didn't work. Even though I arrived at 3 PM, I waited almost an hour to get in, along with other guests. I picked Bisanta Bidakara in Surabaya on a whim to try somewhere different, but it was a big letdown.
