The exit from the parking area was confusing. The actual gate was still closed, so we had to loop back around to the entrance. I was lucky not to be in a hurry for the airport or anything. At checkout early in the morning, it was also hard to find a receptionist. I found the hotel through Google reviews, checked in, then noticed that most of the positive comments were from three to five years ago. The price was affordable and the location worked well for West Surabaya, but the room needs maintenance or a refresh. The paint was faded, the sink rusty, the towels worn, and there was a damp, moldy smell when I first opened the door. They had a Dulce Gusto machine, but no capsules. I wouldn’t recommend it for a staycation. Maybe it could work if you just need somewhere quiet to crash.

I stayed for two days while attending my brother’s wedding in the Victoria Ballroom on the sixth floor of Srijaya Building. The hotel is on the second floor of the same building, which made it a good place to stay near West Surabaya for the night. I had a ‘Sincerity room’, a vintage-style room that was really comfortable, especially the bed.

This boutique hotel feels homely and comfortable, and the amenities were complete and clean. I could hear music and outdoor noise from the room, though. There was no hairdryer, and the breakfast menu really needs improvement.

I loved the interior design and how aesthetic the room felt. I didn’t get a room with an outside view, but the hotel is still very Instagrammable. It’s inside Srijaya Building, near the Satellite roundabout.

The staff were okay, and the boutique hotel was clean and neat. There was no hairdryer, and the bathroom had a very bad smell, either from the toilet or the jet spray.
