Aloft by Marriott South Jakarta

Management responded professionally and thoroughly to my feedback afterward, and I appreciate that. Still, after two stays, I don't see myself coming back. My first visit was average and a bit underwhelming, but the most recent one, from May 30 to June 1, was a worse experience than I'd expect from a Marriott-branded hotel. The front desk staff were polite, but at check-in they barely explained the mobile key, and I only worked out how to use it properly after checking out. On the second day, I asked for room cleaning, but toilet tissue and facial tissue weren't restocked. I called for replacements and waited quite a while. When they arrived, the facial tissue seemed questionable and unsuitable for guest use, even though the front desk had confirmed that was what I requested. There was also confusion over towel replacement, so the departments didn't seem well coordinated. It wasn't one mistake so much as several small service and housekeeping problems building up, with a clumsy recovery afterward. My earlier stay had its own issues: I was charged for stained sheets, and my name was mixed up at checkout. Together, the repeated inconsistencies didn't feel up to the standard I expect from an Aloft or Marriott property.
