The mattress was fine, and the air conditioning and hot water worked. Everything else was awful. Our room was dirty, with sheets that hadn't been changed after the previous guests. I could tell which pillow the girl and which the boy had used from the smell. The toilet was even dirtier, and the only towel left was dirty too. There was just one towel. We'd messaged ahead with plenty of time, and reception was supposed to be open 24 hours, but the outside gate was shut when we arrived. We couldn't get near the hotel, and nobody answered the phone. Our taxi driver was kind enough to climb the fence and look for the receptionist. Without him, we'd have been stuck outside. The hotel is by a sewer canal, with a horrible smell and lots of mosquitoes. After I went downstairs to complain, the guy was gone. There was nobody to find, and the gate was locked, so we couldn't leave. We were basically forced to sleep on those dirty sheets. The next morning a different receptionist didn't seem to care. I barely tried to explain because he didn't speak English, so I used Google Translate. HORRIBLE, DON'T COME HERE.

The room had enough space for two, but it was dirty when I arrived, with hair all over the place. The bathroom needs cleaning too, and the bed was the worst part: the blanket smelled, and I bet they hadn't changed it or the sheets. The location was a little hard to find. Apart from that, things were okay.

Even with the rough bedcover fabric and the old terrace table set, this can still work for a cheap overnight stay. The bathroom door wouldn't lock or even shut properly. They didn't give us soap at check-in, so I thought it wasn't provided, but when I asked they handed us four tubes. The place is tricky to find, down a dead-end alley with no parking, so I'd advise people arriving by car to stay elsewhere. I hope they replace some of the furniture and change the bedcover.

The main drawback is getting there. The hotel is beside a smelly city drain, and the 100 metres from the main road are really disgusting, though Surabaya Gubeng station is only 15 minutes away. Despite that, I thought the stay was worth the money. The staff were friendly, spoke basic English, and helped with most things. Anga replaced my sheets and pillow covers right away when I asked, since the linen and bed had been a little dusty on arrival, probably because the room hadn't been used for a long time. The room was spacious and well furnished. The bathroom was clean, roomy, bright, and had hot water. OYO supplied basic toiletries. The bed was super comfortable, and the rooms were clean overall. The photos on the website matched my actual experience.
